Reported phishing attempt

We would like to thank our clients for being security-conscious and encourage you to contact us if any emails pretending to be Doteasy are received.

Further tips for avoiding phishing content:

Watch out for emails that don't know information about you, e.g. "Dear Customer". Or emails that do not show your correct Doteasy account information or only use public-domain information.

Links that take you to a website other than official Doteasy user portal or website.

Notices to make a payment or renewal when these are not due yet. You can always log in to your account to check when your services are due and renew securely once logged in

Always check the sent address from emails you receive. Emails sent by us will have our domain after the @ symbol (such as no-reply@doteasy.com or support@doteasy.com) Emails from our marketing channels may be sent from a slightly different address but still contain doteasy.com.

We would like to inform our clients that we have received several reports from customers of email phishing attempts.

These emails do not come from the Doteasy team but are from sending from a fraudulent address ending with "@host.saltcityacademofmagic.com", "@sender.zohosubscriptions.ca" or "@ink.finefinishesco.com"

below content of the phishing email:

Subject: Your service may be suspended

Body: _Payment could not be processed

Dear Valued Customer,

We attempted to process your recent invoice, but payment was declined by your financial institution. As a result, your account is now in a delinquent status. To avoid the permanent suspension of your hosting and domain service, you must settle the outstanding balance immediately. If you payment is not successfully updated within the next 48 hours, your services will be terminated._

The email encourages you to pay an 'outstanding' balance' and is imitating our billing team. The email may also use publicly available information, like domain name expiry and Registrant Contact Information.

We strongly encourage customer DO NOT click any links within this email, and please block and report the sending address were possible.

If your services are registered through us, you may also log in to your Doteasy portal and check the expiry dates and auto-renew status of your various services, domain and hosting. Additionally we encourage you to feel free to contact our friendly customers support team who will be happy to assist and answer any questions 24/7.
